A clear order flow from receipt to delivery
Break an order into understandable states and connect each state to an action and owner so the team always knows what comes next.

A successful order passes through small decisions: acceptance, stock confirmation, preparation, delivery assignment, and closure. When statuses are vague, communication repeats and it becomes difficult to locate delays.
Give every status operational meaning
Do not add a status only for display. A useful status answers two questions: what happened to the order, and who owns the next step? This makes the handoff between the store and delivery clear and traceable.
- New: waiting for review and acceptance.
- Preparing: products are confirmed and the store is working on them.
- Ready: fulfillment is complete and the order can be assigned.
- On the way: the courier is responsible for the order.
- Completed or blocked: the final outcome is documented.
An unavailable product or unclear address needs a dedicated resolution flow, not a hidden note inside the order.
Connect status to ownership
Define who receives the alert and who can move the order forward. This reduces overlap and preserves a clear record that can support future operational improvements.
