A handoff checklist that protects details between store and courier

Simple checks at handoff keep the parcel, address, and order state accurate without repeated calls.

The moment an order moves from the store to the courier is a transfer of responsibility, not only a status change. Missing information here can later become an extra call, a delay, or a discrepancy in the parcel.

Before handing over the parcel

Complete fulfillment before assignment and make sure the courier sees only the information required to reach the customer and deliver correctly.

  • Match the number of items to the order summary.
  • Secure the parcel in a way that fits its contents.
  • Review the address, contact number, and essential notes.
  • Record when responsibility moved to the courier.
Reduce information, not accuracy

Show the courier what is needed for delivery and avoid internal details that do not support the task.

After the courier receives it

The store should know the order has left its responsibility, while the courier should know what to do if contact fails or the address is unclear. Documenting the outcome keeps the order history complete.
